MxBiodevices
Biodevice Company Identity
The product is built on a triple helix molecule — cross-linked, unwound, forming a network. The brief asked designers to make that science visible in a logo while drawing on the visual shorthand of pharmaceutical credibility: the 'Rx' symbol, reimagined as 'Mx'.

Make the molecular science visible — and let 'Mx' do what 'Rx' has done for a century.
MxBiodevices is a medical and pharmaceutical company whose core product is rooted in molecular science: an unwound triple helix molecule cross-linked with a long linear molecular chain, forming a network. The logo needed to communicate this scientific identity without becoming an illustration exercise — precision and credibility first.
The client had a sharp conceptual idea: make “Mx” echo the visual grammar of “Rx” — the prescription symbol that signals pharmaceutical authority the world over. Pair that with a triple helical “x” unwinding under the brand name, and the logo tells the product's story at a glance. The challenge was executing it with enough restraint to feel clinical, not decorative.

Rejected Explorations
Science as identity. Precision as design language.

Symbol
The 'x' in Mx is the concept — drawn as a triple helix unwinding, referencing the product's molecular structure directly. The mark connects the brand name to the science it's built on without requiring a caption to explain it.
Typography
Add font name — placeholder. The typeface carries the scientific credibility of the mark: precise enough for a medical audience, modern enough to signal a company building at the frontier of biodevice technology.
Colour
Add colour values — placeholder. The brief suggested Purple, Yellow, and Gray: an unusual combination for medical branding that positions MxBiodevices apart from generic pharmaceutical blue while retaining clinical seriousness.
