Refund & Cancellation Policy
Applies to all web design, development, automation, branding, and website maintenance services offered by Maniesh Singh, Jaipur.
1. Overview
This policy applies to all project-based services and monthly care plans offered by Maniesh Singh ("we", "us", "our") — including website design and development, e-commerce stores, custom web applications, AI automation, logo and brand identity design, and website maintenance care plans.
By engaging our services — whether through a signed proposal, verbal agreement, or payment — you agree to the terms set out in this policy.
We aim to be fair to both parties. These terms exist to protect your investment as much as ours.
2. Deposit Policy
All project-based engagements require a 50% deposit before any design, development, or strategy work begins. This deposit is non-refundable.
The deposit covers time spent on research, strategy, initial design concepts, project planning, and any third-party costs (fonts, stock assets, tools) purchased specifically for your project.
For projects valued at ₹1,00,000 or more, a milestone-based payment schedule may be agreed upon in writing at the start of the engagement. In such cases, each milestone payment is non-refundable once that phase of work has been delivered.
3. Cancellation by the Client
You may cancel a project at any time by notifying us in writing (email is sufficient). Cancellation takes effect on the date the written notice is received.
If you cancel after the deposit has been paid but before substantive work has begun (within 3 business days of deposit receipt), we will refund 50% of the deposit as a goodwill gesture.
If work is underway at the time of cancellation, no further refund will be due beyond any unused portion of a milestone that has not yet been started. We will deliver all completed work to you in its current state.
Outstanding balances for completed phases remain payable on cancellation. These are due within 14 days of the cancellation notice.
4. Refund Eligibility
A partial or full refund of the remaining (non-deposit) balance may be issued in the following circumstances:
— We are unable to deliver the agreed project scope within a reasonable timeframe due to circumstances on our side.
— A critical technical failure caused by our build cannot be resolved despite good-faith efforts on our part.
— We mutually agree in writing to terminate the project before completion.
Refunds are not issued for: change of mind after work has begun, dissatisfaction with design direction after approved concepts have been developed, delays caused by the client (late feedback, withheld content, unreachable stakeholders), or scope additions agreed verbally that were not formally documented.
5. Website Care Plans — Cancellation
Monthly care plans (Starter Care, WordPress Care, Shopify Care, WooCommerce Care) may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice.
Plans billed annually are non-refundable for the remainder of the billing period on cancellation. You will continue to receive service until the end of the paid period.
Plans billed monthly can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month — no pro-rata refund is issued for a partial month.
We reserve the right to terminate a care plan with 30 days' notice if the site becomes incompatible with our maintenance tools, or if outstanding invoices remain unpaid beyond 14 days.
6. Project Delays and Extensions
Timelines quoted at the start of a project assume timely feedback and content delivery from the client. Delays caused by late approvals, missing assets, or extended feedback cycles do not constitute grounds for a refund.
If we cause a delay beyond the agreed timeline through our own unavailability, we will communicate proactively and, where significant, offer a timeline credit on future work or a partial fee reduction — at our discretion.
7. Dispute Resolution
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us first at manish89jpr@gmail.com. Most issues are resolved quickly through direct communication.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 14 days, both parties agree to seek resolution through mediation before pursuing any legal claim.
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jaipur, Rajasthan.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your engagement applies to that engagement. Material changes will be communicated to active clients by email.
