17 years. One consistent question.
The foundation
Pursued B.Com at University of Rajasthan and four programs at Arena Animation simultaneously — graphic design, animation, multimedia, web. Also attempted CA at ICAI for two years before dropping out. Chose creativity over accounting. Best decision made.
Going independent
Started taking on freelance clients as early as 2007–08 — while still studying. The first projects were small, but the habit of working directly with clients never stopped. Over the years, expanded beyond design into web — WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, performance, SEO. Every new technology was learned on a real project, for a real client, with real stakes. Still the only way I learn anything.
The global stage
A friend mentioned 99designs — an international design competition platform — while I was looking for freelance work and a way to build an international portfolio. The catch-22 was real: you need a portfolio to get your first client, but you need clients to build a portfolio. 99designs broke that loop. Competing against designers from around the world, on real briefs, with real budgets, meant every contest was both practice and proof. 13 wins and 31 runner-up finishes later, the portfolio existed — and so did the confidence.

My professional role at a Event Management Company — brand development, Event presentations, web UI, advertising. Moved to Sam Movies Entertainment as Senior Graphic & Video Editor, producing visuals for government and private events across Rajasthan — including Vastra First Edition and Stone Mart editions. Learned what it means to deliver at scale, on a deadline, with zero margin for error.
Skin in the game
Co-founded Redfool Fashions LLP — a custom print-on-demand business. Still running it. Managing suppliers, operations, customer acquisition, and margins every month. This is the context behind every website I build: I know what it costs when a site doesn't convert, because I've felt it myself.
The return
Rejoined Sam Movies Entertainment — this time as Creative Director. Led the studio's creative output across large-scale government and private events, including the Great Indian Travel Bazaar. Then March 2020 arrived. COVID shut down the events industry overnight, and with it, this chapter closed.
The focus

Since 2015, I've co-founded and run Redfool Fashions LLP — a custom print-on-demand business. I deal with suppliers, operations, customer acquisition, and margin pressure every month. When you ask me whether a website investment is worth it, I answer from both sides of the table.
The person behind the projects
I grew up in Jaipur — a city where trade is in the air and nearly everyone's uncle runs a business. That shaped how I think about money and margins long before I ever touched a website. Outside of client work I read constantly, shoot product photos for Redfool on weekends, and spend more time than I should tracking where AI is heading next.

Most agencies open Figma before asking a single business question. I don't. Every project starts with understanding what success looks like for your business — then we design backwards from that.
