The Client Brief

Design a restaurant brand that feels like the kind of place Jaipur families return to — warm, honest, and memorable enough to be the first name that comes up when someone asks for a recommendation.

The Kitchen Palace is a family-friendly restaurant in Jaipur serving Indian and multi-cuisine dishes. They had a strong location and loyal regulars, but no cohesive brand presence — the signage, menu, and packaging were all inconsistent.

The brief was to create something that felt generous and welcoming — a brand that said "good food, no fuss" without sacrificing the sense of occasion that makes a restaurant feel like a destination.

The Kitchen Palace — final logo mark by Maniesh Singh

Symbol

A warm, character-led wordmark or crest — designed to feel like it belongs above the door of a restaurant that takes its food seriously without taking itself too seriously. Readable on a backlit board and equally right on a takeaway bag.

Typography

A type system that balances display warmth (for the name and signage) with clean legibility (for menu items and pricing). The hierarchy makes navigating the menu effortless.

Colour

An appetite-forward palette of warm reds, deep golds, and earthy tones — the visual language of Indian hospitality and generosity. The colours invite people in before they have even read the name.

A consistent brand presence that guests notice

The Kitchen Palace identity was deployed across all guest-facing materials — menus, packaging, signage, and table standees. The brand now reads consistently whether someone encounters it online, on the street, or seated at a table.

The new menus in particular received strong positive feedback — the design made the food choices feel more considered, and improved the average order value by improving how specials and premium dishes were presented.
