The Client Brief

Design a brand identity for a talent competition and cultural festival that communicates excitement, energy, and discovery — and works equally well on stage backdrops, social media, banners, and printed programmes.

Talent Fest is a multi-discipline talent competition and cultural festival — combining performance arts, music, dance, and visual arts into a single event series. The identity needed to work for a wide range of audiences: young participants excited about the competition, families attending as spectators, and corporate sponsors looking for professional presentation.

The name "Talent Fest" is both literal and aspirational — a celebration of skill and creative expression. The brand needed to carry that sense of celebration without looking like a school prize day. It needed electricity.

Symbol

A mark designed for the energy of live performance — bold enough to read on a 10-foot stage backdrop, distinctive enough to own a WhatsApp thumbnail, and versatile enough to carry across multiple events without going stale. The form communicates celebration, movement, and creative expression.

Typography

Bold, confident letterforms that carry the energy of the event name. The type system works at display scale on banners and signage, and at caption scale on programmes and social media. Clear hierarchy between event name and sub-event categories.

Colour

An electrifying palette chosen to read at stage lighting intensity and to photograph well under event conditions. The colours feel celebratory without being juvenile — the right balance for an event that attracts both young talent and professional judges.
