91Designs is a design studio in Jaipur working across brand identity, print design, packaging, and digital collateral. Their work was strong. Their reputation with existing clients was solid. But their online presence was non-existent.
For a creative business, that's a particularly sharp contradiction. Prospective clients expect a design studio's own website to be the first proof of their capabilities. Walking in with no digital portfolio is the same as a tailor showing up to a fitting in torn clothes.
The brief was to build a site that showcased the studio's range and quality, structured their services clearly, and gave search engines enough to work with to start sending them relevant traffic.

Without a website, every new client relationship started with a PDF portfolio shared on WhatsApp — a format that undersells the work and says “we haven't got around to this yet” to anyone who notices.
